The Coffee Cup
There were very few issues of continuity that we really worked at maintaining, and they were usually the most insignificant, insane items that we could find. Take, for instance, the coffee cup on the table in the apartment. That cup never moved in the month that we shot in Robert Watts’ apartment. The contents evaporated, turned into paste, and grew hair, but the cup never moved; Robert simply scraped and refilled the cup as needed.
